Devotion 21 October 2026

God chose us before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1: 4-5
READING: 2 Corinthians 6: 16-18, Galatians 4; 6-7
Life is filled with ongoing change and ever deepening growth. The changing of the seasons remind us of this. As we grow in accepting our mortality we should also appreciate everyone and everything that is part of our lives. We should celebrate life’s moments and all our experiences of the presence of Almighty God and enjoy with reverence His amazing creation and His calling of us to be His children and His instruments. All our lives God invites us to discover and accept who we are in relation to Him and to those around us and what he has called us to do. In Isaiah 40 : 31 we read, “Those whose hope is in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; and they will walk and not be faint.” Our Almighty God through Jesus, promises to not only live with us, but to walk always along lives’ paths with us. He promises to be like a Father to us and He accepts us as His sons and daughters.
Teresa of Avila writes, “Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes with which He sees. Yours are the feet with which He walks. Yours are the hands with which He blesses all the world.” What a privilege!

Prayer
Lord Jesus we graciously accept Your call to be Your instruments. We pray that You will use us, direct us, and strengthen us so that we may be fruitful in sharing Your love and teaching with those around us. May we do this in praise and glory to Your Name. Amen
