And Mary said, “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.”
Luke 1: 46-48
READING: John 1: 46-48
CAROL : Long ago prophets knew HA&M 75 (vs 1,2,3,)
1 Long ago, prophets knew
Christ would come, born a Jew,
come to make all thing new;
bear his people’s burden,
freely love and pardon.
Ring, bells, ring, ring, ring!
Sing, choirs, sing, sing, sing!
When he comes,
When he comes,
Who will make him welcome?
2 God in time, God in man,
This is God’s timeless plan:
He will come as a man,
Born himself of woman,
God divinely human.
3 Mary, hail! Though afraid,
She believed, she obeyed.
In her womb, God is laid:
Till the time expected,
Nurtured and protected.

Prayer
Glory to You, Lord God, creator of the universe, You dwell in light and majesty.
Glory to You, Lord God, the giver of faith and life.
Glory be to You from the company of heaven who sees you face to face.
Glory be to You from Your people on earth who have seen Your salvation.
Glory be to You, Lord God, through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen
