“Our Gospel comes to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction.” 1 Thessalonians 1: 5
READING: 1 Thessalonians: 2-7
Paul acknowledges that the Thessalonians did not come to believe by just listening to Paul preach, but by the power of the Holy Spirit speaking through him. He also says that they are loved by God and that He chose them.
Faith comes alive and meaningful when it is expressed through love. With the love, so the height, depth, and eternal nature of God’s love can be experienced. We do not come to believe and have faith in our own strength, but in that which the Holy Spirit reveals to us from our Father God. This opens the way for an intimate relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, which makes His presence a living reality for one.
From Anonymous we read, “ Faith is not believing that God can, but that God will.” And “Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectations.” Andrew Murray.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can also experience the love of Jesus Christ. This love will reflect through our lives if we share Christ’s love by the way we live our lives, so, others may also experience the love of God.

Prayer
Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians, “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in Your hearts through faith.” Thanks be to God. Amen.
