You also were included in Christ when you heard the Word of truth, the gospel of Your salvation, ---- sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1: 13
READING: Colossians 1: 15-20 + Ephesians 2: 8-10
In the letter of Paul to the Colossians we find a beautiful piece of prose describing who Christ was and His very being. “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” And “He is the head of the body, the Church.” “God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him.”
In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he describes how we are saved. “By grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” We are God’s adopted children and have been chosen to be showered with every good gift, love, faith, grace, salvation, redemption, and hope. We have been brought into a special relationship with God, through Jesus. Hallelujah!
“Praise the name of Jesus, praise the name of Jesus. He’s my rock, He’s my fortress, He’s my deliverer, in Him will I trust. Praise the name of Jesus!
